Hit and miss
These were a fantastic size and the reusable covers were great, they just don’t stay cold for very long compared to other ice packs. Would potentially save the money and find an alternative.
Pregnancy and childbirth can have their uncomfortable, sensitive moments, that can be eased with Body Ice Heat and Cooling packs. This strip has been purposely designed to treat the sensitive perineal area pre and post childbirth. When heated, the Perineum Strip can be effectively used during the second stage of labour to help reduce the occurrence of perineal trauma. When frozen, the perineum strip provides soothing, cooling relief to the perineal area which may be irritated, swollen and tender from childbirth. It can also be used to treat Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) as well as haemorrhoids. Each pack contains a perineum strip and five washable perineum sleeves.
If you’ve had a Caesarean, it can be placed on your scar to ease any pain or discomfort.
Wash your perineum pack with warm soapy water. You can also hand wash your perineum pack sleeves and air dry for continued use.
We don't mean to be debbie downers, but realistically, pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding will have a major toll on your body. Aches, pains and tenderness are very common pre and post-birth and this heat and ice packs is designed to help you soothe the perineum areas naturally. For cold therapy, place in freezer without disposable sleeves for approximately two hours or submerge in icy water until desired temperature is achieved. For heat therapy, submerge in hot water without disposable sleeves or microwave for the suggested times below. Heat in additional 5-second increments until desired temperature is achieved. Always test temperature before application. Slip on the protective, washable sleeves provided and place directly on the perineal area. Apply for the medically recommended time of 20 minutes. Wait until the skin returns to normal temperature before reapplying.
